Studio D Recording
My home base is Studio D, a world class recording facility located just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito. It consists of a spacious live room (with acoustics ideal for recording drums, strings, choirs, or literally anything you can think of) 3 iso booths, various instruments (Yamaha C7 Grand Piano, Rhodes, Synths, B3 Organ), and an impressive assortment of vintage and modern studio equipment. Our control room notably features a SSL9000J console (formerly owned by Green Day).
The history of Studio D spans 40 years, and over that time has been responsible for some major work. Soundgarden, Rick Rubin, Faith No More, Huey Lewis & The News, Train, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Santana, Aretha Franklin, and so many others have worked on their projects here.
We also have an extensive history of commercial and film work. Clients including Disney, Toyota, 21st Century Fox, Audible, Golden State Warriors, and many others have chosen to have work done at Studio D. Music for films such as Reservoir Dogs, American Psycho, and Pineapple Express have been made in this room.
